IT WILL be Beatlemania at the Yarra Ranges Seniors Festival Launch in Mooroolbark on Monday 3 October.
The Beatles tribute band The Australian Beatlez will perform at the Mooroolbark Community Centre, as part of the festival with classic hit Beatles’ songs.
Revisiting the 60s, the Beatlez will tell stories of Paul, John, Ringo and George.
Formally known as the Metlets – The Australian Beatlez has been spending the last 10 years building a professional Beatles experience.
The band features Ben King as Paul McCartney, Michael Burke as George Harrison, Scott McCarthy as John Lennon and Dan Slater as Ringo Starr.
Mooroolbark Young Women’s Christian Association president Beth Dummelow said she was looking forward to revisiting “Beatlemania”.
“I remember when The Beatles visited Melbourne in 1964,” Ms Dummelow said.
“I went to see them in the city. We all screamed and my friends cried.
“It was great fun.”
The performance will be at the Moroolbark Community Centre from 10am-11.15am.
Tickets cost $8 for Yarra Ranges residents with a Seniors Card and $15 for those without a Seniors Card.
