A woman was taken to Maroondah Hospital after a bus and car collided in Woori Yallock on the Warburton Highway this morning, Monday 14 August.
The collision occurred about 7.45am, before the Woori Yallock creek and traffic was redirected down the Old Warburton Highway while emergency crews worked to clean up the wreckage.
The female driver of a Saab convertible was taken to Maroondah Hospital in a stable condition and the male bus driver was assessed by paramedics at the scene but not taken to hospital.
Luckily only one passenger was on the bus at the time of the collision and was believed to be unhurt.
A resident who lives by the major arterial said that this was the second collision that had occurred this year and that it was only a few metres from the last.
Emergency services re-opened Warburton Highway about 9am.
