THE Healesville junior and ladies teams take a break over the school holiday period, but both men’s senior teams played at Don Road.
Healesville Seniors lost 2-1 to Northern Pumas.
Healesville have steadily gained points throughout the season but will be wondering how they let this game slip away.
After dominating the game just about from the kick-off, and numerous chances squandered, Northern Pumas opened the scoring with a freak goal in blustery conditions.
Another goal followed in the second half, but Healesville only managed a consolation goal, too late in the game.
Healesville Reserves came in at half time a goal a piece against Mitcham.
Mitcham, the division’s leaders went on to win 5-1 as Healesville tired out and were unable to build on their good first half performance.
