Valley tastes come to the fore

There are a number of events being held for Good Food Month, with tantalizing treats for all tastes to enjoy.

YARRA Valley food lovers have the opportunity to be part of Good Food Month, Australia’s largest food festival, right here in the valley.
The Savoia restaurant at Mont De Lancey in Wandin has partnered with The Age Good Food Month to present the Yarra Valley’s finest degustation dining experience.
The event, on Friday 29 November, is a local taste of a food and wine extravaganza that features events in Melbourne and regional Victoria including fine dining, master classes and noodle markets in Melbourne to long lunches, slow lunches and divine dinners at leading restaurants.
The Savoia dinner, part of the festival’s World Dinner events, will take diners on a tantalising journey through the flavours of regional Italy.
Locally sourced, organic and whole foods will come together to create a sumptuous five-course degustation – an indulgence of delicacies from Roma to Piedmont through Milano and Sicily, surrounded by the verdant, elegant surrounds of Savoia Mont De Lancey.
Book for the Savoia degustation dinner, $85 plus $40 for matched wines, on 5964 2409.
