Millwarra Primary School students will be riding into the sunset on 12 December on fantastic new bikes thanks to generous support from local businesses.
The school decided to ditch the traditional Canberra end of year camp and take the kids on a riding camp on the Great Victorian Rail Trail, which runs 134 kilometres from Tallarook to Mansfield and Alexandra.
Not all the students had bikes, or could ride, so the school reached out to local businesses asking them if they could help with $350 for a new bike, a donation or something for a raffle.
The response was overwhelming and with a great deal from a Knox bike shop, 16 new bikes were purchased.
The students will camp for two days at Merton before riding the trail, finishing at Yea on Friday.
