Mini Bash 6 U10

Yarra Junction v Healesville (Wesburn Park)

This week saw the return of junior in our younger age groups. Healesville travelled to Wesburn to take on Yarra Junction. Whilst there are no official results at this entry level junior competition, I believe Healesville where quite dominant in their performance and special mention to Loius Keath who performed extremely well with the bat this week.

RDCA U12-9

Wandin def Healesville (Wandin North Reserve, Wandin)

Wandin won the toss and elected to bat and managed to put an impressive 5/144 off their 23 overs.

The 5 wickets were evenly shared amongst the Healesville bowlers but the pick of the bunch this week was Manny Winrow with 1/12 off his 3 overs to be the most economical of the wicket takers.

Healesville’s batters struggled to chase down Wandin’s total and finished up all out for 42. Manny Winrow top scored with 13.

RDCA U12-5

Healesville def by Hoddles Creek (Queens Park, Healesville)

Healesville won the toss and sent Hoddles Creek into bat. Hoddles finished up 4/126 of their 23

overs with Raff Morcombe 1/6 off 2 overs and Cooper Duff 1/4 off 2 overs the best of the bowlers.

Healesville put in great effort in chasing down Hoddles Creek’s total but eventually fell shy finishing up on 5/115 off their 23 overs. Sam Keath 21, Raff Morcombe 17, Bram Tesseyman 17 and Harrison Duff 14 (all retired not out) the best of batters.

SEDA Under 14-5

Seville (2) def by Healesville (Mac Spark Oval, Warburton)

Seville won the toss and elected to bat finishing up posting 5/82 off their 25 overs. Denzel Parsons 2/2 off 3 overs and Angus Tesseyman 2/8 off 3 overs the pick of Helasvilles bowlers. Healesville managed to finally chase down Seville’s total with only a couple of wickets in hand to finish up 8/97 off their 25 overs. Sam Drummond 20 and Eli Prentice 17 (both retired not out) the top scorers for Healesville.

Under 16-2 (John Springett Shield)

Healesville def Heatherdale (Queens Park, Healesville)

Heatherdale won the toss and elected to bat. Healesville did a great job in the field restricting

Heatherdale to only 91 bowling them out in the 23rd over. Healesville’s batters always looked to

have Heatherdale’s total covered and ended up only losing 4 wickets on their way to 4/154 off their 25 overs.

Willow Pearce 26, Jack Drummond 23 and Cam Nyko 21 (all retired not out) Healesville’s major contributors with the bat.
