Last couple of weeks to see the latest YAVA exhibit

YAVA Gallery in Healesville’s latest exhibit Inspirited is still running until Thursday 22 January.

Now’s the perfect chance to get a glimpse of what what inspires and moves 22 artists to create who are all showcased in the exhibit.

There is a wide array of works on display from sculptures to acrylic, with all artists choosing a piece that expresses what inspires them.

Gallery Manager Vanessa Flynn said the exhibit has something for everyone with so many different mediums on display.

“Each artist is quite unique, and their influence will vary as do their mediums, skills and purposes,” she said.

Artist Lynn Baxter was volunteering in the exhibit when Star Mail came to view the show and discussed her work with us that’s on display.

Ms Baxter’s piece chosen depicts a scene which she saw while on a tour in the Northern Territory to Kata Tjuta.

Ms Baxter said it’s great to be part of an exhibit with so many artists and finding inspiration inside others inspiration.

“I think it’s good for any artists to look at other art because you never know what will permeate through you and then come out into your own artwork.”

The exhibit is running until 22 January 2023.
