If you could do with a bit more colour in your life (and fun!) you may want to consider gathering family and friends for Yarra Junction Primary School’s Colour Trail on Sunday, 26 November.
Organisers Terez Annis and Melinda Darwell were looking for a fund-raiser with an emphasis on fun that also brought something new to the Valley.
A colour trail ticked off on both counts!
The trail will start at the Yarra Junction Recreation Reserve where pristine participants will set off, walking or running the two kilometres under a barrage of coloured powder.
A more colourful crowd will cross the finish line back at the reserve, from where they will be directed to the local tennis courts for a colour ‘fight’, then on to the Yarra Centre for more fun including market stalls, jumping castle, free craft activities and fantastic food.
It seems appropriate that such a fun-filled fund-raiser will help buy a new playground for the Yarra Junction students, replacing the outdated equipment and adding a touch of colour to the school ground.
