Wednesday 10 November
No comp, rained out.
On our second day back with this ever-popular event, we saw a healthy field enjoy some rare good weather.
But we were all “put to the sword” by one man in white-hot form Andy-Gill. ( Or was it Geoff in disguise? I’ll ask R.H. for a clarification!?!)
I think it was Andy -he amassed 25 stunning points to win the comp, easily, and he had two 1-pointers to start his round.
A few shots back, but with a score that would normally win most nights, (21 points), was Bruno-Kennedy.
Stil a fine effort, Sean!
With this type of scoring, it was clear the ball rundown wouldn’t get down to your Loyal Scribe.
If you scored 18+ you can collect a ball the next time you’re at the Club.
NTP winners were Vice-President Kennedy, (10th), Danny-Fox, (12th) and Your Loyal Scribe! ( 15th).
Saturday 13 November
Stroke and Monthly-Medal, yes folks, we have some intrepid golfers at Warbie.
A field of 22 went out to brave the elements and the soaked course and some even finished!
Paul-Osbourne was one who finished, and in those “challenging” conditions, somehow managed to score a Nett 66 and the November medal.
Unbelievable! Well done, Paul. Danny-Fox was another “finisher” and he grabbed the runner up prize with a creditable Nett 72.
Only three others scored a ball and they were Chris-Connell, Clint-Toohey and Peter-Fox.
In an unusual coincidence, those same 3 were the only NTP winners, Clint on the 3rd, Pete, (5th) and Chris, (9th).
Let’s hope for a brighter week, fellow golfers!
