With the Yarra Glen Bowls Club grass green unavailable because of yearly maintenance, the club has been making good use of the new synthetic over the past few weeks.
Home sides have had some continued success this week as we prepare for finals coming up in a few weeks.
In midweek pennant, their Division 1 side’s tough year continued away at Donvale, going down 41/86: P. Leonard 16/25; R. Bates 12/35; G. Baker 13/26. Side 2 in Division 7 hosted Monbulk, winning overall 118/28. L. Baker 22/15; G. Rowe 51/5; D. Milner 45/8.
On Saturday, their Division 1 side played at home away against Burwood District Montmorency, winning 86/61. Beau. Simmons 20/16; G. Senior 23/10; M. O’Brien 31/11; S. Manifold 12/24.
In Division 4, Side 2 played 2nd play.
