Bowling centre lines up great time for families

ED FLEMING Lanes in Mooroolbark is celebrating the September school holidays with a range of special promotions and events.
The entertainment centre, which has been offering tenpin bowling for nearly two decades, has put together a special school holiday package for the whole family.
The package includes two games of ten pin bowling, shoe hire, pinball machine tokens, a hot dog and 600ml bottle of Pepsi all for the low price of $15.95 per person.
Joe Tomasinski, Ed Fleming Lanes manager, said the special deal would be available everyday throughout the school holiday period.
“We specialise in offering low cost, fun family entertainment in a safe, smoke-free environment,” he said.
“Bowling is exciting, being part sport and part entertainment, and you can do it on your own, or as a group.”
Mr Tomasinski said the centre has special bumper bowling lanes for children under 6, in addition to the full size lanes, and a great variety of pinball machines.
“Our game machines allow people to win a great range of prizes including soft toys, DVDs and chocolates,” he said.
Mr Tomasinski said parents were guaranteed of a good time too with the centre offering a licensed cafe.
“Adults can sit down and relax with a drink while their kids are having a bowl, and they can have a bowl as well,” he said.
“There really is something for every member of the family, including grandparents.”
Ed Fleming Lanes has fully computerised bowling lanes and scoring systems, is air-conditioned, only a three minute walk from the Mooroolbark train station and offers ample, free car parking.
The centre will host a special DJ music night on Saturday, 30 September, from 6pm with prizes on offer. Bookings for the event are essential.
