FLEXIBILITY, luxury and reliability are just three of the reasons Brian Ingleson loves his SsangYong Stavic.
When he started his winery tour business called A Day in the Valley a year ago, Brian was looking for a people-mover which would provide his clients with a feeling of being driven, rather than carted around the valley.
The Stavic, utilises Mercedes Benz European technology in a Korean-built car and the result is the up-market comfort, style and reliability he was looking for with outstanding economy both in the showroom and on the road.
The Stavic seats up to six passengers and the ability to move seats around, or take them out all-together, gives Brian the flexibility he needs to operate as a mini-limo for weddings or cater for small groups discovering the valley’s wineries.
Luxury items such as the all leather interior, in-roof DVD, sunroof and climate control, along with opening doors and a spacious interior, give the feeling of a much more expensive vehicle.
“It has a 2.7-litre turbo-charged diesel engine which has the power I need but is very economical to run,” Brian said.
“Buying it new, I have been able to keep track of how much it is costing me and I’d have to say the economy is very, very good.”
He says the ultimate test has been the response of his customers and the verdict is, they love it… almost as much as he does.
“It’s a great job taking people round the wineries and the Stavic is a great car for what I do,” he said.
The base price for the Stavic at Yarra Valley SsangYong is $36,990 for a manual diesel.
The Limited Edition starts at $44,990 and comes in manual or auto, 4WD or 2WD.
Limited Edition extras include a six-stacker CD, sunroof, nudge bar, electronic stability program (ESP) and leather upholstery.
