PARKS Victoria is calling for tenders to construct a new toilet block at the Fernshaw Picnic Area near Healesville.
Seymour MP Ben Hardman said the community had helped him lobby for bright and modern new toilets at the picnic spot.
“I am pleased that Parks Victoria has welcomed community feedback to ensure that any decisions at this site reflect the needs of local residents and the community,” he said.
“The many people who enjoy this picnic area will be pleased with the result as there will be a big improvement on the building being replaced.” Mr Hardman said disabled access would be provided and an environmentally friendly waste system had been developed after consultation between Parks Victoria, Melbourne Water and the council.
