SWEET smells, old time crafts, farming demonstrations, delicious food, live music and dancing will all be part of this year’s Lavender Harvest Festival at Warratina Lavender Farm in Wandin Yallock on Sunday, 26 November from 9am to 5pm.
Owner Annemarie Manders said the festival would be a fun family day out and raises money for local CFA brigades.
Ms Manders said the festival would also feature bobbin lace making, spinning, wood turning, blacksmithing and toy making demonstrations.
Entertainment includes Scottish highland dancing, bag pipers, Irish dancing, boot scootin’, belly dancing and musical performances by local high schools.
“For the children there will be an animal farm and a jumping castle, while others may choose to wander among the variety of market stalls selling food, local produce, wine with tastings and boutique beers,” Ms Manders said.
“To complete your experience at the Lavender Farm you can enjoy lavender scones and lavender ice cream served from the tea rooms.”
Entry to the event is $5 for adults, $3 concession and children over 14, or $15 for families.
Warratina Lavender Farm is located on Quayle Road, Wandin Yallock. For more information phone 5964 4650, email enquiries@warratinalavender.com.au or check out the website www.warratinalavender.com.au.
