HEALESVILLE rain recorder Alma Mitchell was far from overworked in November.
Mrs Mitchell recorded 41.0mm of rain on just 10 days.
This is well under half of last November’s recording of 84.8mm.
Keith Thomas at Warburton reports that rainfall for November was once again below average on 98.5mm compared to 117mm.
“For the first 11 months of the year, we have received 846mm which was a far cry from our average rainfall of 1232mm,” Mr Thomas reported. “Melbourne’s storage dams are at crisis level, holding only 737,171m.ltr which equates to 41.6 percent of capacity, with no prospect of good rains before April. “At this time last year, they held 59.9 percent.”
Concern continues for water levels
