A HEAD-ON collision on the Black Spur road last week left a young woman with serious injuries.
The woman’s Nissan Vector was travelling from Marysville to Healesville at 10.40am on Monday, 11 December when it and a truck travelling in the opposite direction collided.
The woman, 23, suffered serious injuries, while the truck driver was shaken but unharmed.
The young woman was trapped for two hours before the SES from Marysville and the CFA from Healesville could free her.
She was then taken by air to a hospital in Melbourne, where she is reported to be in a stable but critical condition.
Senior Constable Mich-elle Driscoll said the woman was lucky to be alive.
“Those bends on the Black Spur are so dangerous and have to be taken very carefully.”
