FUNDS are available for projects, which recognise the contribution of Victorian war veterans.
The Member for Evelyn, Christine Fyffe, announced last week that applications for funding through the Victorian Veterans Fund were open.
Ms Fyffe said funding was available to Victorian ex-service organisations, local councils or not-for-profit organisations undertaking commemorative or education-related projects.
“The projects must recognise the service and sacrifice of Victorian veterans, or their families, and contribute to the education of the broader community about the service of Victorian veterans,” Ms Fyffe said.
The funding is not available for the restoration or repairs to existing war memorials or honour boards.
Applications close on 9 July.
