THE Shire of Yarra Ranges will receive more than $11 million in federal funds, which is an increase of 5.19 per cent above its last year’s allocation.
The funding is part of the annual Local Government Financial Assistance Grants and, according to McEwen MP Fran Bailey, it comes with no strings attached. “These grants help councils to provide the high quality services that local communities need and expect of their local council,” Ms Bailey said.
The funds will be spent on a range of general purpose and road projects across the shire.
