‘HANDS on’ may not be the most enticing description of the Shire of Yarra Ranges’ National Recycling Week workshops but ‘handy’ certainly is.
The Shire of Yarra Ranges is encouraging people to find out about how they can recycle around the home by getting involved in activities and workshops which include how to create a compost bin and worm farm and a tour of the Lilydale Materials Recovery Facility.
Shire of Yarra Ranges’ councillor Len Cox said the workshops were a great way for people to learn practical and useful ways to recycle around the home.
“The tour of the Lilydale Materials Recovery Facility will present residents with an opportunity to learn more about the recycling process,” he said.
