THE spotlight was shone literally and figuratively on Healesville on Saturday as their seniors ran out on to the field for the first time in the history of the club to play in Second Division… and under new match-quality lights.
The result against last year’s premiers Seville, gave the club a much-needed boost with new coach Sean Ellis leading the team to a 104-point win – 24.21.165 to 9.7.61 – before a good crowd of supporters keen to see the Bloods win their way to a 2013 premiership and return to Division One status.
The win put Healesville on top of the ladder with a more than 150 percentage lead ahead of Powelltown.
