WARBURTON’S magnificent environment, its community spirit and the winter season itself will provide the focus for Warburton Winterfest this year.
Winterfest committee president Sue Mann is calling for people of all ages with fresh and creative ideas to join to help make the festival a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
“Winterfest in Warburton is an opportunity to represent the talents and offerings of the Upper Yarra, and elsewhere, to residents and visitors, and to celebrate our community spirit,” Ms Mann said.
“We’re inviting all the talented people out there to join us in showcasing the best of the Upper Yarra.”
The festival, one of the longest-running festivals in the Shire of Yarra Ranges, will be held from 21 to 23 June.
Expressions of interest forms are available at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre in Warburton.
For more festival information phone Ms Mann on 5066 2805, go along to a Winterfest meeting which will be held on the second Monday of the month at the Warburton Mechanics Institute at 7pm, or visit www.myspace.com/warburtonwinterfest.
