SEVEN fire trucks from Healesville and surrounding areas attended a grass and scrub fire in Juell Cresent, Healesville, last Wednesday.
The fire, which started on private property about 3pm, was quickly controlled within 15 minutes after the CFA was alerted.
Healesville CFA Captain Graeme Bates said firefighters from Healesville, Coldstream, Badger Creek, Yarra Glen, and Toolangi attended the scene.
The large number of trucks called out was due to the awkward position of the fire, on the side of a hill.
“We needed that many people to ensure we could protect the nearby sheds, horses and houses,” Capt Bates said.
The cause of the fire was unknown at the time of going to press.
