School’s super thankful for CFA

By KATH GANNAWAY

MILLWARRA Primary School said ‘thanks’ to their local superheroes last week with some hamper-pampering.
Students at the Millgrove and East Warburton campuses dressed as their favourite superheroes to raise money to buy lots of special treats for the hampers which were presented to the Reefton, Warburton and Wesburn-Millgrove CFA volunteers.
“It’s our way of saying a big ‘thank you’ for keeping us safe all year round, but especially through the fire season and for all their hard work during the recent fires,” Millgrove Campus co-ordinator Ros Walters said.
“We thought that instead of giving money to each brigade we would make these lovely hampers as a more personal ‘thank you’,” she said.
