SNOW season has hit.
Eager residents and visitors made their way up to Mount Donna Buang last week, when snow began to coat the mountain for the first big snowfall of the season.
Visitors lapped up the frosty weather, with many enjoying tobogganing, building snowmen and, of course, the odd snowball fight.
Melissa, 10, from Healesville, enjoyed the snow and got to see a freshly-built snowman.
Extremely windy weather across the Yarra Ranges resulted in road closures around the area but the road up towards the summit of the mountain remained mostly open to snow-goers over the weekend.

Lake Mountain Alpine Resort near Marysville has also opened its gates and slopes for visitors to enjoy.
As of Monday 30 June the average snow depth was 45 centimetres, with 20 centimetres of new snow on the day beforehand.
