WOORI Yallock Fitness Centre is a one stop centre for all health and general wellbeing needs.
The centre is home to a fully equipped gym, has a full range of fitness classes, and offers personalised programs tailored to individual goals.
Staffed by a team of fully qualified instructors, the centre prides itself on providing a friendly, casual fitness environment.
The gym features an extensive range of free weights and hydraulic weight machines as well as an excellent range of cardio equipment.
The centre’s range of fitness classes include boxing circuit, pilates, fitball, tae box, kick boxing, taekwondo, and a tummy, hips and thighs class.
Melanie Kerr, one of the centre’s six personal trainers and fitness instructors, said the classes are a point of difference at the centre.
“Our extensive range of daily classes always run.
“We have a range of excellent trainers and class instructors and the classes are suitable for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced,” she said.
In addition to the gym, the centre also has onsite solariums, creche facilities and five squash courts.
The centre hosts a social squash competition every Monday evening and people are welcome to book the courts at other times.
Owner Amanda Branson prides herself on making the gym a downtoearth place for locals to get fit and have a good time.
Ms Kerr said: “Amanda believes the fitness centre should be a fun place to meet friends and work out together.
“She believes people should be able to come along and not worry about having the right outfit.
“It’s about joining in and staying healthy.
“The fitness centre is an amazingly social place. It’s not like other gyms where people just turn up to work out and then go home.
“People build up friendships here.”
Ms Kerr said people are welcome to use the fitness centre on a casual basis, however members do receive substantial benefits.
“One of the best things about being a member is that you get a full fitness assessment.
“We take your measurements and do a cardio test to give you an indication of your fitness levels,” Ms Kerr said.
“After that we draw up a personal program based on your goals and that program gets reviewed every four to six weeks so you can map your progress.”
The centre offers threemonth, sixmonth and 12month memberships plus a sixweek trial membership for people who would like to try out the facilities.
The Mail, in conjunction with each of the participating businesses on this page, is offering readers the opportunity to win a $100 gift voucher each month for the next nine months.
