HEALESVILLE High School’s production of J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan was a spectacular success.
It’s the second time the show, adapted and directed by Marney Hradsky, has been performed in order to provide a glimpse of wonderland for a whole new generation of students and the wider community.
With the high demand for tickets, a fourth show was added to the program this year, including a matinee on Friday for local primary schools.
Squeals of delight and moments of wide-eyed anticipation from some of the younger audience members on Thursday night’s opening left no doubt that live theatre presented by a talented and enthusiastic crew is a wonderful way to bring a fairytale to life.
Amazing sets and costumes, great dialogue, direction, backstage and technical support, and actors who looked to be having great fun for every minute they were on stage, ensured the show was a great success and a terrific experience for the audiences.
