RESIDENTS at Monda Lodge, Healesville, were able to watch the Beijing Olympic Games in high definition on a plasma television last week.
Healesville Rotary, in partnership with Retravison Wandin, donated the television to the aged care hostel for the duration of the games.
Jan Chater, assistant activities coordinator, said the television was a popular source of entertainment throughout the games.
“Many of our residents enjoy watching sport, and on a television as wonderful as this, it’s great to have,” Ms Chater said.
Resident Bill Punch said he enjoyed watching the games and the new television was a wonderful addition to the hostel.
The new television was not the only way Monda Lodge got into the spirit of the games; they held a round robin event on Friday.
