I KNOW Archdeacon Gail Pinchbeck (Anglican and Uniting Church minister), who fell and was injured badly on the Warburton Brisbane Bridge in 2013.
In complaining to council, she was apparently told ‘she had no right to be on the bridge’, as it was vehicles only.
I would like to thank the residents and the petitioners for the walkway created when the bridge was repaired.
Warburton benefits greatly.
Gail probably does not want to be remembered, but I would want to thank her.
Thanks also, of course, to the council for the wonderful result.
I recommend the council names the pedestrian bridge addition as the Gail Pinchbeck walkway.
But, as ever, I am sure Gail would want to remain invisible.
Ivor Wolstencroft,
Warburton.
Walkway a wonderful result
