ONCE again, Santa was the star of Wandin’s Sunset Festival.
He did, however, have plenty of competition for the title.
The festival held at the Wandin North shopping centre, and organised by the Wandin traders and local community groups drew hundreds of people, mostly locals, keen to kick off the festive season in their own community.
Lots of stalls with Christmas goodies and fantastic food, rides and games for the kids, a demonstration of the jaws of life by the Wandin Fire Brigade Rescue volunteers, classic cars, pony rides, the Wandin/Seville Community Bank colouring competition, raffles, locally grown produce, fantastic live music on stage, and the grand fireworks finale made for the best ever Sunset Festival.
