BOTH Yarra Valley Racing and Healesville Amateur Racing Club have meetings in November and December providing a great opportunity to get together for some great racing fun and festivities in the lead-up to Christmas.
Healesville Amateur Racing Club started its 2005/06 season with a very successful Derby Day meeting and is looking forward to their remaining 2005 meetings on 26 November and 11 December.
Traditionally, these meetings provide a popular venue for end of the year break-ups and relaxing pre-Christmas get-togethers.
A day out at Healesville races at this time of the year is a great way to get away from all the hype which accompanies the build up to Christmas and just enjoy some time out with family and friends.
The atmosphere is one of the real country race day with the on-course bookies, catering, plenty of trackside picnic areas and TAB facilities.
There are activities for the children as well, making it a great family day out.
Yarra Glen
THE NEXT meeting at the Yarra Valley Racing Centre at Yarra Glen is a thoroughbred meeting this coming Sunday, 20 November.
Christmas Party meetings will follow on Saturday, 3 December and Friday 23 December, with a Harness meeting on Monday, 19 December, also part of the Christmas festivities.
