PATRONS of Wesburn’s Sam Knott Hotel should ready themselves for a rock-banjo onslaught when The Re-Mains set up for an afternoon of great Aussie country rock later this month.
Still sizzling from their four-month tour of Canada over winter, the country rock and roll band will perform at the popular Wesburn hotel on Sunday afternoon, 30 November.
Their Yarra Valley gig is part of an extended sojourn through Victoria and New South Wales as the band gears up for a hectic summer and its seventh Tamworth Country Music Festival.
“We covered 16,000 klicks in an $800 Chevy van, playing 64 shows across Canada,” frontman Mick Daley said. “And we’ve covered nearly that distance again since returning.”
Daley says it’s business as usual for The Re-Mains who he said would deliver more original tunes about Australia than Yarra Valley music fans have heard since Cold Chisel bit the dust.
The Sam Knott Hotel has live music every Sunday from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, with no cover charge.
Among some of the well-known acts coming up are Dutch Tilders and Steve Eales.
For further information phone The Sam Knott Hotel on 5967 1200.
