A LILYDALE man, 35, is expected to front Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today after he allegedly held a woman captive in Lilydale for a number of days.
Victoria Police media is reporting that investigators have been told the woman raised the alarm after fleeing from her residence in Alfred Rd about 7.15pm last night.
The man was arrested a short time later, then later charged with unlawful imprisonment, rape and intentionally reckless cause injury
The man is believed to have known the victim.
