‘BEST ever’ is the verdict on the 2016 Ecotopia Festival.
The Yarra Junction Parklands, including the Upper Yarra Museum, came alive on Sunday, 10 April, with music, dancing, demonstrations, market stalls, workshops and the now famous Recycled Fashion Parade.
Organised by ECOSS, the festival is a highlight of the Upper Yarra calendar, showcasing the environment and community groups.
Event manager, Chelsea McNab, said one of the pleasing aspects of this year’s festival was the increase in community groups participating.
“There was a big increase in environment not-for-profit stalls which is what we have been aiming for,” she said.
“Most of the activities were free and we love being able to provide that too,” Ms McNab added.
The 2017 Ecotopia Festival is set for 26 March, but if that’s too long to wait the ECOSS Spring Fair is on Sunday, 2 October at ECOSS in Wesburn.
