KILSYTH Cobras have signed Chris Cameron for next season.
The 6”11’ player returns to Kilsyth after an injury affected season with Waverley in the Big V League.
Cameron was a major factor in the Cobras 2007 SEABL South Title run.
He averaged 20 points, over seven rebounds and almost three assists per game and was recognised for his outstanding year with a place on the South Conference All Star Five team.
The Cobras could not fit Cameron into their list this year following his rookie NBL season with the Singapore Slingers.
Following a disappointing season, Cobras coach Grant Wallace looked to Cameron to fill a gap and help return the team to the top.
“We are very excited to have him back in a Cobras uniform,” he said.
“He knows us well, our structure and our ethics and we all look forward to watching him and (new recruit) Joe Werner work together.”
Cameron is looking forward to the 2009 SEABL season.
“I am very happy to be back at Kilsyth and even happier knowing we will have a team with a very real chance of being one of the toughest teams in the country,” he said.
“I believe that Grant and the Kilsyth organisation have done a great job assembling a team, which goes 10 deep and will give us the best chance of being a premier team in the SEABL.”
