Killed in Toolangi crash

By JESSE GRAHAM

A PERSON has been killed and another hospitalised, following a car crash in Toolangi on Sunday night.
At about 7.30pm on Sunday 12 June, a passerby came across a crashed car on Sylvia Creek Road in Toolangi and called police.
Victoria Police spokesperson Leading Senior Constable Julie-Anne Newman said in a statement on Sunday night that police believed the car lost control, rolled and crashed into a tree, killing the 46-year-old Hurstbridge driver.
The 18-year-old passenger, also from Hurstbridge, was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital. Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
Since 1 January, 134 people have died on the roads in Victoria, 17 more fatalities than at the same time last year.
