Couple find love on the line

By Kath Gannaway
LIKE most, Andrew Harford and Robyn Jasper’s romance started with a chat.
Married on 13 September, the couple first met on a dating line more than two years ago.
“We got chatting and we chatted for a few months before we decided to meet,” Robyn said.
The couple, Andrew from Healesville and Robyn from Parkdale, were already friends when they met over a Chinese meal and, as Robyn says, “we just went on from there.”
Both say they would recommend on-line dating.
Neither is into the nightclub scene and with Robyn’s job as a nurse taking her all over the place, and working long, unsocial hours, she said it was hard to meet people.
“If you’re sensible, and feel open to it, I would definitely recomm-end it,” Andrew said.
And, why not! That chat led the couple to the happiest day of their lives when they were married at Marybrooke in Sherbrooke.
“It was a fantastic day – perfect weather, perfect day, everyone had fun and we had a ball,” said Robyn.
Robyn’s stunning dress came from Bella and Mr Simon in Healesville, and what about those kilts?
“I didn’t want to wear a suit … and it was a great way to recognise my Scottish heritage,” Andrew said.
Robyn is a big fan of the kilt. “I just loved it,” she said.
“I thought the guys looked gorgeous and the vibrancy of the tartan against the black and the flowers was fantastic.”
The couple continued the Scottish theme, starting their honeymoon in Scotland and taking in some of Europe before returning home to Healesville.
