Spider puts branch in car

By Jesse Graham

A KINGLAKE driver was lucky to survive a crash after flipping and rolling her car several times in Dixons Creek last week.
On Thursday, 8 September, the 21-year-old Kinglake woman was driving along the Melba Highway in Dixons Creek when she lost control of her car.
Yarra Glen Police Sergeant Richard Coulson said the car subsequently rolled several times and a large tree limb smashed through her windscreen and into the centre console of the car.
He said the driver was “extremely lucky” not to be impaled by the limb, and that the driver said she lost control after a large spider landed in her lap.
