HIGH stakes and high fashion were the order of the day at Yarra Glen Racecourse on Melbourne Cup Day on 1 November. As the nation stopped to witness the nail-biting win of Almandin at Flemington, thousands of punters turned out to enjoy some good ol’ fashion country racing and fun, courtesy of Yarra Valley Racing.
