Intruders flee with mobile phone

By Jesse Graham

Police are searching for two men who burst into a Healesville house over the weekend, demanding car keys before leaving with a woman’s mobile phone.
Yarra Ranges Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) Senior Detective John Fooks said about 5pm on Sunday, 12 February, two men “crashed” through the back door of a house in Crowley Road, Healesville.
The two men, wearing gloves and balaclavas, demanded keys to cars parked at the house from a woman in her thirties who was at home with her young child.
After telling the men that her partner had the keys, the men left, taking the victim’s mobile phone after they tried calling triple-zero.
The men also hit the victim with “an object” before leaving.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to file a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
