Morning tea to help healing

By Kath Gannaway
SWINBURNE TAFE in Healesville is inviting members of the local community for morning tea.
“The recent fires have had a traumatic impact on us all, but this devastating event has also brought us all together as a community,” said Swinburne manager Maria Romanin.
The morning tea is Swinburne’s contribution to the healing and recovery process and is being supported by Swinburne’s Student Amenities Association.
Ms Romanin said the Healesville campus had been an integral part of the community and district for more than 19 years, offering training, working in partnership, supporting community projects and programs.
“This morning tea is a small gesture of gratitude and recognition to the Healesville community for supporting us over the past years and hopefully for many more years to come,” she said.
“Being together and sharing with others is a great step towards the healing process, it’s a chance for us all to come together and share our stories over a cuppa and cake.”
There is no charge but people are asked to RSVP by 1 April for catering purposes to 5957 1800. The morning tea will be held on Friday 3 April at 10.30am at Swinburne TAFE.
