DICK Ward’s Kip McGrath Education Centre in Lilydale is now in its 19th year.
Opened in 1990, the centre was one of the first Kip McGrath services in Victoria and over what is now close to two decades the centre has helped thousands of students.
“Reaching our 19th year is a milestone and a great achievement for the business here in the Yarra Valley,” Mr Ward said.
“In our time we’ve helped primary, secondary, tertiary and adult students with a range of subjects and studies including reading, mathematics, spelling, comprehension and English.”
Mr Ward said the Kip McGrath Education Centre was in line with his philosophy that every person should have the opportunity to reach his or her maximum potential.
Having spent 30 years in the school system as a primary and secondary teacher, Mr Ward said he strongly believed that the Kip McGrath Education program provided the building blocks to help people achieve their education goals.
He said students interested in finding out more about the learning program could contact him to set up a free initial assessment, after which an individual program could be designed.
“From the initial assessment we can see what each person is capable of and give them work we know they are going to succeed with. From that point the work is then focused on building skills,” he said.
Mr Ward said students of all ages, and all learning levels are welcome to join the program.
“We work right across the spectrum from students who are naturally academic and are looking for extra challenges, to students who are struggling and need assistance,” he said.
Kip McGrath Education Centre is located at 17 Maroondah Highway, Lilydale. Phone 9739 5688 or visit the website at www.kipmcgrath.com.
