Local CFA brigades, Healesville and Badger Creek, are looking for new recruits to become volunteer firefighters in the new year.
Healsville CFA is hosting a recruitment information session tonight at the station, 62 Crowley Rd, Healesville VIC 3777, to discuss the next steps going forward
Healesville Fire Brigade 5th Lieutenant Cliff Overton said those interested can meet members at the station at 7.30pm to discuss the next steps.
“We’re currently recruiting for members to take part in the general volunteer firefighters course which will start early next year,” Lieutenant Overton said.
The brigade also works closely with Badger Creek, which will see recruits from both areas join together for training.
Lieutenant Overton said if community members are interested and can’t make the event tonight, they are welcome to pop into the station at any time to discuss joining.
