MORE than 200 people attended the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s concert at Tarrawarra Museum of Art last week.
The concert coincides with the TWMA’s free Bushfire Exhibition and in addition to providing an exciting opportunity to hear the ACO at a local venue, raised funds for the Healesville CFA.
“The ACO gave a fantastic performance, playing a selection of pieces including Vivaldi’s famous Autumn from The Four Seasons and after thunderous applause from the entire audience came back for an encore, to play Spring from The Four Seasons,” said TWMA spokeswoman Eliza Ordinans.
Special guests at the concert were the Pans on Fire band, formed by the women of Marysville to create community support in the aftermath of the Black Saturday bushfires.
Ms Ordinans said the audience was particularly pleased that the concert was so widely accessible thanks to the generous sponsorship of the ACO, the Board of TWMA and our Bushfire Exhibition sponsors.
The spectacular sunset viewed from the courtyard as guests enjoyed a traditional CFA sausage sizzle, was an unexpected bonus.
The Bushfire Exhibition, also a free event, open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm until 25 July.
