STUDENTS from Little Yarra Steiner School are putting their best voices forward for a fundraising concert in Healesville.
They will be playing an evening of acoustic music at the Bodhi Tree Café in Healesville on Friday 4 June.
Little Yarra Unplugged at the Bodhi Tree will feature some easy listening selections, with performances from the jazz ensemble, folk/rock originals and will draw heavily upon the talents of some outstanding young string players.
All proceeds from the event will go toward completing Little Yarra’s Band Room, which is half-way through being renovated.
There will also be a raffle drawn on the evening, with prizes ranging from hand-crafted picture frames made out of salvaged timber to tickets to see My Friend the Chocolate Cake, who are playing at the Healesville Memorial Hall on 12 June.
Raffle tickets are available from the Bodhi Tree and at the front desk at Little Yarra.
Entry is $5 to experience Little Yarra Unplugged at the Bodhi Tree, 317 Maroondah Highway, will run from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
Readers can call 5962 4407 for more information.
