EXCESSIVE rain put an abrupt stop to the Healesville Racecourse Harvest and Craft Market in September.
‘Back at the start of the month, the racecourse was more suitable for ducks than horses and certainly not for a market swarming with 4000 people or more,’ said market spokesperson Louise Gamon.
‘Hopefully the heavens will put a plug in it for the first Sunday in October and the market will get off a dry start at 9am.’
Ms Gamon said the October market was the start of the pre-Christmas period and that the picturesque racecourse would again be transformed into a vibrant sea of colour and activity.
‘CMA stall-holders are gearing up for a great day and there’ll be many new stalls to explore,’ she said.
Shoppers can experience a wonderful array of Australian made products, taste the freshest produce and enjoy delicious gourmet foods while listening to live music.
There’s entertainment for the kids too.
Why not take the opportunity to make a start on your Christmas list before the silly season gets really silly.
Entry is free and there’s ample parking with $1 of the $3 parking fee going toward a local community grants scheme.
