Yarra Valley wins premiership

THE Yarra Valley Cricket Association won the premiership in Division 4 of the AGL Country Week competition last Friday at Bayswater.
The YVCA first scored 5 for 276 cc from the available 50 overs (Nick Foster 33, Kane Jones 34 not out, Andrew Giblin 112, Liam Doughty 32, Michael Walker 42 not out) def Ferntree Gully 181 (D.Rundle 60, Josh Dowling 46 not out, Steve Bowen 31, Michael Walker 4/38, Glen Newberry 3/44).

In local cricket round 12 was completed on Saturday.

Seville 10/244 at home to Woori Yallock had too many runs on the board for the Tigers who were dismissed for 154, Matt Walker 5/36.

In the Finger Trophy at Powelltown, the home side scored 8/261 Brett Mitchell 105 and were too strong for Aura Vale with 10/132 and 8 /63 Chris Neale 4/37 and Rob White 4/21 leading the attack for the home team.
Launching Place 10/127 and 10/143 lost outright to Hoddles Creek 4/278 J Derix 82 not out and Michael Vidakovic 89 not out.
