As preparations got underway last week on the long-awaited redevelopment of the Green Street toilets, Yarra Ranges Council urged residents to support the businesses in the construction zone who are remaining open throughout the works.
“While some disruptions to traffic can be expected, with the north-bound lane of Green Street closed to traffic while work is in progress, people will still be able to access all businesses as usual,” a shire spokeswoman said.
Temporary toilets will be established in Green Street and Coronation Park used as a temporary tourist bus drop-off area until the toilet block re-opening, expected to be early next year.
