HEALESVILLE High School’s VCE Class of 2010 let their hair down, did their hair up, dressed up, dressed down and jumped for joy on their last day at school on Thursday.
The 52 students, most of whom have been Healesville High students for the past six years, were the toast of the school assembly as they presented the traditional Elroy Awards to teachers in recognition of their special contributions.
Principal George Perini congratulated the students on their well behaved approach to the day and on their creativity, saying the fancy dress and the Elroy Awards were highlights.
He said Year 12s had been excellent ambassadors for the school.
“They have been a united and friendly group and they have been involved in all aspects of school life and beyond into our local community.
“This week has been marked by respect and celebration.”
The Year 12 students will start their VCE exams at the Don Road Sporting Complex on Thursday.
Mr Perini said the best wishes of the school community was with them.
