The Eltham-Yarra Glen Road is closed in both directions near Skyline Road.
Diversions are in place and police are directing traffic on the scene and will re-open the road when it is safe.
Heavy vehicles should use the Maroondah Highway and Melba Highway as an alternative and allow plenty of extra travel time.
