Station wins award

YERING Station took out the award for Best Tourism Winery for the third year in a row at the National Tourism Awards last week.
The awards, held on the Gold Coast on Friday, 24 February, also saw Yering Station inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame in the Wine Tourism category.
Yering Station, which was purchased by the Rathbone Family in 1996, won its latest Australian Tourism Award for its state-of-the-art winery and tourism complex.
The winery’s commercial director, Gordon Gebbie, said the recognition was testament to the dedication and passion of the winery’s staff.
“We are very proud of our team whose commitment to the Rathbone family’s vision has helped create a thriving destination,” he said.
“We are grateful for the support and combined efforts of a great network of Yarra Valley people – together we have developed a dynamic and rich region for tourism.”
Yering Station was one of six Victoria finalists to take home an Australian Tourism Award.
